When you have the City Beautiful at your feet who needs Paris in the springtime?

In this tale of two cities Orlando more than holds its own.

Anyone who’s ever been can attest to the magnificence of the Louvre’, after all it is home to the Mona Lisa, The Wings of Invictus, and Napoleon’s bedpan! But nothing compares to the hometown his and her stories found at The Wells’ Built Museum, The History Center, The Orlando Museum of Art and The Menello Museum. Make a day trip of it and visit all four.

For thrill seekers, The Orlando Eye (now known as the Coca Cola Orlando Eye) matches the infamous Eiffel Tower rung for rung. The view at night is just as expansive and is truly magnificent. This exciting attraction, opened in April, 2015, is the sixth tallest Ferris wheel in the world and makes for the perfect rendezvous.

Shopping at Orlando’s Prime Outlet, Premium Outlets and Mall at Millenia rivals shopping on the Champs-Élysées with brands including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Prada. The money you save on airfare alone is worth the trip.

Le Café Lambrusca in Saint-Germain-des-Pres is the perfect spot for people-watching and wine tasting by day and transforms into a hot seafood spot with live jazz in the basement at night. Not to be outdone, the City Beautiful mirrors La Ville Lumière (The City of Lights) with Lafayette’s on International Drive. They’re good for lunch, dinner or takeout.

If you’re longing for that certain je ne sais quoi, add a visit to the City Beautiful to your springtime to do list or perhaps your re-do list. There’s enough romance, intrigue and excitement for everyone. Orlando o-waits!
