Orlando has its share of fine wineries in and around the City Beautiful. These independently owned establishments offer a wide variety of vino and food pairings that more than meet the expectations of a tenured sommelier.  Some samplings are simple and tame yet fragrant while others are pungent, seem to bite back and beg for accompaniment.  In the Mills 50 District of Orlando, you’ll find the Quantum Leap Winery open Tuesday through Saturday from noon until 8:00 pm.  Quantum Leap Winery, among others, hosts free open tasting rooms and provide tours, by request, of their facilities during those same hours. Additionally, ‘Wine Down’ events are held on the second Friday of each month with no admission costs from 7 to 10:00 pm.  Check them out at www.quantumleapwinery.comfor more details about their offerings and events.
