Orlando City Soccer and the New Sports Central

While the US got dished in a bid for this year’s World Cup, there’s still plenty of action going on, in and around Orlando City Soccer (pun intended).

Get ready for Mascot Games 2018! The 25th Annual Mascot Games with WAWA as the title sponsor returns to Amway Center in downtown Orlando for two exciting shows on Friday, June 22nd and Saturday, June 23rd. Twenty-four of the best and most popular mascots from MLB, NFL, MLS, NBA, NHL, and NCAA will join Orlando Magic’s STUFF for the annual competition. STUFF, the event’s host mascot was most recently honored as one of the best mascots in sports. Mascots will be divided into four teams and will compete against each other in wild and crazy games to decide the true ‘Champions of the Mascot World’.   Friday’s game will offer a unique opportunity for groups and schools to get involved in the fun.   All proceeds from the Mascot Games Presented by Wawa benefit New Hope for Kids, a non-profit organization that provides support to children and families grieving the death of a loved one and also grants wishes to children with terminal illnesses in Central Florida. Since its inception, the Mascot Games Presented by Wawa has raised more than $300,000.00 for New Hope for Kids. Tickets are on sale now! Round out your sports-centric weekend at the FIFA World Cup Watch Party on Sunday, June 24th. It’s ‘game on’ at the Falcon Bar & Gallery, a casual, dog-friendly bar that serves draft beer & wine and hosts monthly themed art exhibits. Located at 819 E. Washington Street, this laid back lounge opens daily at 5:30pm.
