Anyone in the mood for love will love the mood (and the moon) over Orlando during the month when we celebrate, with cupid and cherubs, all things lovely. Romance is definitely in the air as Valentine’s Day in Orlando is second only to Presidents’ Day (pun intended). Our theme parks offer a variety of special packages for your destination wedding whether it’s a small gathering or an event of epic proportion. For more interesting optics, try the fountain at Lake Eola, Leu Gardens or the Orlando Eye. Either of these popular venues will provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable proposal. Make her or him an offer they simply can’t refuse! Take advantage of hotel and restaurant specials throughout the month. Consider swan boat, limousine or pedi-cab rentals. Tour some of the city’s off-beat paths like the one on Ivey Lane that dead-ends at Columbia Street and Pete’s Barbeque. They’re only open on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 11:00 p.m. and the drive from anywhere within the city is well worth it!

Travel to Palm Coast, Cocoa or Flagler for an unseasonably warm romp on the beach. Add a small but safe campfire, comido para picar (a couple of small plates), and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate the arrival of spring. Sit back, relax and wait for what has already been promised; a breathtaking sunset.

About Lake Eola

Lake Eola Park is located in the heart of Downtown Orlando. The sidewalk that circles the lake is .9 miles in length, making it easy for visitors to keep track of their walking or running distances and stick with their fitness plans. Other activities available to park visitors include renting swan-shaped paddle boats, feeding the live swans and other birds inhabiting the park. Take in a concert or a play in the Walt Disney Amphitheater or a meal at the Relax Grill on Lake Eola. You’ll enjoy the beautiful flower beds and the spectacular view of Orlando’s skyline. On Sundays, find fruits and vegetables, beer, bread and wines at the farmer’s market.
