Instead of the usual ugly tie or bad pair of socks, treat Dad to a Spoken Word Showcase at the Wells’ Built Museum for a pre-Father’s Day celebration.   In the historic Wells’Built Museum attendees will share the experience of honoring and celebrating Juneteenth through poetry with some of Orlando’s greatest spoken word artists. This special celebration hosted by The Wells’Built Museum of African American History & Culture, the International Church of Faith and This Ain’t That will take place on Friday, June 14th from 6pm to 8pm.  On Saturday, June 15thfrom 2pm to 7pm join The Museum at their Juneteenth Block Party and Community Day.  It will be a day of entertainment and education filled with activities for adults and children including health screenings, singing, dancing and lots of fun!  The Museum is located at 511 W. Another option for a day of family fun is the Florida Father’s Day Festival (F.F.D.F) at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.  This event will be held at the Fairgrounds’ Orlando Amphitheater, 4603 West Colonial Drive on Sunday from 12pm until 8pm.  With one ticket, Dad will have access to this event featuring live music performances and a car show.  There is no admission charge for children ages 5 and under with a paying adult and tickets are discounted for children, ages 6 to 11.
