Famed artist Pablo Picasso said, “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” Include a visit to CityArts Factory located in Winter Park at 29 South Orange Avenue as a part of your self-care plan. To recognize the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nelson Mandela, the 2018 Global Peace Film Festival, in partnership with the Downtown Arts District, presents a photographic exhibit by renowned South African photographer who was the personal photographer for Mandela in the last years of his life. The extensive collection of images include brilliantly captured moments from Mandela’s inauguration, meetings with notable figures and time spent at home with his family. This stirring exhibit will be on display in the Keine Gallery in the CityArts Factory through October 12th and is definitely not to be missed. Contact 407-648-7060 for gallery hours and additional information.
