Support our armed forces at The National Veterans Wheelchair Games from July 29, 2018 to August 04, 2018 at the Orange County Convention Center, West Concourse. The National Veterans Wheelchair Games is the largest annual wheelchair sports event in the world. The Games serve as a rehabilitation and wheelchair sports program empowering Veterans with injuries to live more active and healthy lifestyles through sports and recreation. Veterans compete in 19 wheelchair sports events that range from swimming, table tennis, weightlifting, archery, air guns, basketball, bocce, nine-ball, softball, quad rugby, bowling, hand-cycling, trapshooting, wheelchair slalom, and power soccer. The event will also include a motorized wheelchair rally and track and field competitions. Athletes compete in all events against others with similar athletic ability, competitive experience, and age. The convention center is located at 9800 International Drive, Orlando, Florida 32819. Anime Festival Orlando (AFO) is a multi-day celebration of all things related to Japanese animation and pop culture. This year’s festival will run from August 3rd through August 5th at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, 8001 International Drive. The event on Friday begins at 1:00 pm and ends at 2:00 am.
