It's Time to Revisit Soultry Lounge
By Sharon Fletcher Jones
Are you approaching the middle of a ho-hum week or lost for something new and exciting to do? Maybe you just want to ease into these ‘lazy days of summer’? Either way, Orlando’s got something for you.
But first, it’s time to re-visit Soultry in Metro West, Orlando. This richly appointed, elegant lounge boasts a splendid selection of spirits and an exotic menu of small plates and appetizers that include piquant lamb pops and mouth- watering flatbread. However, if you’ve never been or haven’t been there in a while you’ll need to get there tout de suite. While you’re there, take a few deep breaths, let the ‘grown folk-ness’ of the place consume you and order the bread pudding! Served in a hot, cast iron skillet, it’s the best in the City Beautiful! Give an intentional listen to the music being played in the background – it’s the proprietor’s own playlist and it’s always so, so, so…
Perhaps, with a little coaxing, they will consider selling the bread pudding in to-go skillets with copies of Soultry Sounds on compact discs. On Tuesdays enjoy tacos and marguerite specials. Visit www.soultrylounge.com.
